Good news, I think I tweaked the site so that now its not utilizing mongrel but apache and FCGI, so hopefully that should make things a bit more reliable.

Works fine in Win7 x64 though.

I'm thrilled that development on this has started up again! Like many around here, I'm sick of hopping from one scraper to the next to find the right fit. Ember already does so much and has potential for so much more now that you've taken the reins!

damn finally!!! somebody takes this dusty piece of software and continues dev to make it THE nr.1 media manager , i use it for all my scraping needs

hope the scrapers get a real overhaul since most of my alternate titled asian movies get picked up by imdb internal xbmc scraper but not with ember native / rogue scraper -.-'

maybe even later down the road add a adult movie category like tv shows have theyre own category ,and perhaps even for anime too ,for anime i recommend to use anidb scraper

and for adult movies well theres a few i recon xD...just a couple of ideas to get it all goin, peace

Who would want adult movies publicly displayed in their xbmc library?. Maybe I'm alone here but don't we all hide our stuff?

ummmm....some of us like have theyre adult movies hidden in several folders down... in 1 ? so you cant find them without knowing the folder's code name disguised as a movie itself under all youre 3000 movies -.-'

and use files mode instead of default library mode ? simply have movies menu item disabled and if youre paranoid ...lolzers then set up a password -.-'

im sure theres other ways too but this is the easiest... hands down ....

and you can favourite sources you do know that too right? so you can add say youre movies source as a custom main menu item etc etc....so you can access youre movies as if you was using the official movies library mode

no excuse not to use files mode its what i call the advanced library mode ,get with the times bro xD

p.s: yes i scrape my porn too why wouldnt i ? its like saying why would you scrape youre movies or anime or games or comics etc , hell WHY are you even using xbmc when you could enjoy browsing through youre collection in windows explorer roflmao ...-.-'...

If you try running the 32bit version on 64bit it will throw this error due to the fact that the dll for sqllite is 32bit and Ember itself is compiled as any cpu. I'm looking into ways to fix this, but for the time being, make sure that you are using the 32bit version on 32bit windows and 64bit on 64bit windows. My ultimate goal would be not to have two versions, but I don't see it as possible at this time, especially with the reliance on the mediainfo library.

I'll have to run some testing on my 32bit vm, I've been developing on my 64bit box so thats probably why 64bit works fine.

who the hell watches an entire porn movie though? i dont think in my entire life i have watched one in full!

I think an adult scraper should be way down in the list of things to do. there are far more important and useful features that could be developed.

I am running 32bit Windows 7. I have tried both x86 & x64 versions, both give same error.

...as said theres TONS to improve this is a collosus of a project for bodrick , if anybody else has some skills maybe theyd like to help him out? id love too, but im not exactly a programmer xD

I just confirmed that the same error occurs on XP 32 bit.

I think anime scraper would also be a low priority, since most *good* anime shows are on thetvdb anyways..
