It would be nice to just have an option somewhere which states 'Scrape for XBMC'. As a user doesn't know what the supported format in the mediaplayer must be (movie.fanart.jpg or movie.fanart.tbn or movie-fanart.jpg, ...) It would make things a lot easier for first time users.

So looking through the thread already it seems there are a lot of folks that are still using Ember. So just to keep everyone updated, my current plans are to clean up the code and try and fix a few bugs that have been reported, and try to implement some features that have been requested. In regards to time frames, I'm unsure, with the holidays impending things will not be as swiftly implemented, but I will certainly try and work on it some.
Just to keep folks in the loop, I will be having surgery in the next week, nothing serious, but it puts my left arm out of commission for a while, which happens to be my dominant hand, so programming won't be easy, so don't expect too much programming from me, I'll be on the forums still, I can still type with one hand, but I'm sure you programmers out there know, its tricky to program one handed. I'll see what i can do though.
Anyway thats the current situation, my goal is to keep ember alive and to keep it moving forward.
We do all this for the fun of it, we don't care about the rewards or the riches, we do it because its who we are.

It's better to have a slow timeline with a stable and good product, than to have a developer releasing products which are unstable and need a lot of bug-fixing, keeping the developer frustrated as well as the community.
I wish you all the best with your surgery. As your health is more important than programming. Take your time and enjoy the holiday's. In Debian Linux we always say: It's ready when it's ready.
