i just installed xbmc 1-15-2004 cvs build, it works very well except some bugs like photo slideshow not working. i am able to get mplayer to support chinese subtitles by downloading the chinese fonts from mplayer.hu. one other thing really bothers me is it seems like there is no way to config xbmc gui to support chinese. in xbmp, it uses ttf font, so replace the font with a chinese ttf fonts will makes it work. xbmc doesn't use ttf at this time, i don't know if it will in the future. does anybody know what's the direction to get this problem solved?

true. xbmc doesn't use ttf fonts atm. it uses xpr fonts. you can get an idea on how to create them here --> http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin....;t=1033
