Broken?
#1
Hi!

I have xbmc 11 eden latest build. And im tring to get Transparency! to work. When im in the skindownloader page in the xbmc app it says that its broken. And i cant install it. Its only a few of the other skins that is working and a lot of other skins says the same thing. Broken.

Im a rookie when it comes to stuff like this and a picture says more then a thousand words so a took some screenshots:

hard to tell exactly what's causing the issue.

did you ever install XBMC Frodo perhaps?
or maybe you manually installed some Frodo compatible addons?

either of those could get you into trouble.

post a Debug Log and i will have a look.
- settings > system > debugging > enable debug logging
- settings > addons > get addons
- higlight 'xbmc.org addons', an use the 'force refresh' option in the context menu
- post your log on xbmclogs.com and past the url here.

PHP Code:
--- a/skin.transparency/addon.xml
+++ b/skin.transparency/addon.xml
@@ -1,+1,@@
 <?
xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
-<addon id="skin.transparency" version="5.0.4" name="Transparency!" provider-name="ronie">
+<addon id="skin.transparency" version="5.0.5" name="Transparency!" provider-name="ronie">
        <requires>
-               <import addon="xbmc.gui" version="4.0.0"/>
+               <import addon="xbmc.gui" version="9.9.9"/>
                <import addon="script.favourites" version="4.0.4"/>
                <import addon="script.artwork.downloader" version="12.0.11"/>
                <import addon="script.globalsearch" version="1.1.0"/>
     </requires>

Ronie... is this commit about XBMC version correct or this is what is causing the issue ?

I did install frodo, but i went back to eden the sam day, couldnt get the sound to work on the latest frodo version. Is this was causing the problem? If so, how do I solve it?

Tnx for the help so far!

Do you want to see the debug log anyways? I followed your steps, but how do i stop the debugging and get access to the file?

easiest would be to delete all the addons you have installed.

a Debug Log might tell which particular addons are causing the issue.

sure, that was done to make sure it can't be installed on Frodo RC2 anymore.

it's not related to the problems mphummer has in Eden.

Well... that was causing the skin fail to update via the official repo (dependencies not met) or manual with latest nightly ( XBMCSetup-20121227-d4d9b3e-master). Changed to 4.0.0 installs fine.
