I am running xbmc-20130202-e7b2e92-android-hwaccel-armeabi-v7a.apk on Minix X5, running their own distribution of Android 4.1.1_0117.
I would love to use the HP OEM MCE remote which works perfectly on my other htpc:
However when I plug it in, nothing happens, neither android or xbmc accept any commands from it.
MCE remote addon is also not available in the list of addons for xmbc android.
I have tried other "Keymote" type of remotes (Logitech and some no name chinese), they all work as Android just sees them as a keyboard. But they are not as usable as MCE remote would be as keys are repeated too quickly so it's difficult to get to the right option in the menu, backspace key is not mapped properly (it prints Q, and does not go back in the xbmc menu), and also quality and build of HP remote is far better.
Any ideas how to get this remote working with android or at least with xbmc on android? This is the primary use of the box so I'm only interested in having it working in xbmc.
