I'm using Intel NUC with Openelec installed and I need to wake up XBMC after suspend using the Official XBMC remote for iPhone.

I tried using the Wake on Lan function on the iPhone remote and it says Command executed but the Intel NUC is still in sleeping mode. Any ideas to fix this? I just need to wake the htpc using the iPhone remote from sleep so I don't have to physically switch on. Thanks

Have you tried waking up the NUC/XBMC system by sending a WOL magic packet to it from another computer? You'll at least know if you've setup WOL correctly or not on the NUC before you spend more time looking into the remote app as the culprit.
