Apologies if this is obvious to some but I am not a Linux user and simple things may be easy for some.

Setup:
Rpi running Openelec
Confluence Skin
Win SCP SSH to access files and folders

I am looking to edit files and install add on's for the Confluence skin but I am not able to edit the directory

I am wondering what command to use to make a directory read/write

Path is /usr/share/xbmc/addons/skin.confluence

You cant in Openelec, basically the underlying Linux is read only. All you can do is add addons via zip install or repo, but editing files in Linux outside /storage is read only.
