Hi,

I'm currently using the RetroPlayer 2014-07-04 OpenElec release from the sticky and whenever I close a game it doesn't keep my current save games from whatever game I'm playing when I launch them again. I've tried Super Mario All-Stars and Zelda: Link to the Past for SNES so far.

Is there any current fix/workaround for this?

I removed this feature because it requires a proper database abstraction, and to improve the manageability of the project. It will be brought back when a new database abstraction is ported over to XBMC.
