08/31/2016 MQ5 Jarvismod ver 8.2.2 for Kodi 16.1 (Jarvis)
A new release of Aeon MQ5 Mod is available for Kodi Jarvis (16+) -- Jarvismod.

Ver 8.2.2 Direct link:
Aeon MQ5 Jarvismod Skin 8.2.2
This release is intended for Kodi Jarvis 16.0/16.1.
How to install (from repo)
1. Download repository (as a zip file) from the above link.
2. In Kodi 16, navigate to the Add-on Manager (Settings/Add-ons) and select "install from zip"
- In the file chooser, browse to your downloaded copy and select it
- Kodi should report that the "Aeon MQ5 Jarvismod Skin Repository" is installed
5. Still in Add-on Manager, select "Install from repository"
- Select "Aeon MQ5 Jarvismod Skin Repository"
- Select "Look and feel"
- Select "Skin"
- Select "Aeon MQ5 Jarvis"
6. This will pop-up the Add-on info dialog
- Select "Install"
7. Install will now begin. Note that the skin requires various official Kodi add-ons fro the official Kodi repo. It will take some time for these to download and install (if not previously installed). Also, some users have reported problems with the Kodi mirrors which support the official add-ons. This can result in an official add-on failing to install (often Kodi reports a "502" error from the nginx software that provides the mirror capability). If this happens, Kodi will not enable the skin due to "dependencies not met". Try to install later. If repeated attempts fail, open a support thread in the main Kodi support forum. You will probably need to provide a link to a debug log captured while the download failure occurs
- During the install process, you will probably get a popup yes/no dialog asking if you "want to switch skins now". I recommend selecting "no" here.
- After some time (please wait) everything should install and Aeon MQ5 Jarvismod Skin should show as "enabled".
8. Back out of the "Skins" list and this time select "GUI Sounds"
- select Aeon MQ5 Jarvis UI
9. This will pop-up the Add-on Info dialog
- select "install"
- this should install quickly as the file is small and has no dependencies
At this point the skin is installed.
10 To use the skin, navigate to settings/appearance/skin and Aeon MQ5 Jarvismod should appear in the list of available skins.
11. Select Aeon MQ5 Jarvismod.
- You should see a pop-up Yes/no dialog asking if you want to keep this change. Select "yes"
- It will take some time for the skin to load (first time) due to setting all the skin setting variables.
- Note: in a Jarvis change, when you exit Kodi all the skin settings will be saved in a new (for Jarvis) location, within you userdata folder tree under addon_data/skin.aeonmq5/settings.xml. Settings (if they existing prior) in guisettings.xml will be migrated. (DO NOT LOOK IN GUISETTINGS FOR SKIN SETTINGS -- ANY SKIN)
What's new:
I attempted to keep the look and feel of MQ5, while updating for Jarvis, including adding new Jarvis features. The MOD viewmodes, midlist and shelfcase are still provided.
In the settings/system/audio menu, Jarvis now provides auido DSP add-on management. To use audio DSP, you must first enable the 3 DSP add-ons provided with Jarvis (already installed and marked disabled). Once installed, you can use the new Audio DSP Manager window to control which add-ons are enabled. In some cases settings are required which can only be made during audio playback. These can be accessed via the video OSD menu (the existing audio settings button) or a new audio DSP settings button in the Music OSD menu.
In settings/system/logging, there is a new option to log system events (and optionally system notification events). There is a second option to open the new Even Log dialog window. This window provides options for displaying the logged events.
Icon selection: For Jarvis it is possible to provide various icons as "resource add-ons" (this is how skin sounds worked in Isengard). For this release, in settings/skin settings, there is a new settings category of "Icons". This will show a window pane that allows you to select which icon pack you want to use for various icons. In release 8.1.14, this is available only for weather icons. The default weather icon set is installed. You can install other icons sets from the Kodi official repo, or other sources (for example, animated weather icons). In the future, this also support studio icons, etc. The Customize Home Window for the "Weather" menu also supports this (but needs more work in 8.1.14 -- suggestions welcome).
Video User Star Ratings: You can now put a user star rating on videos (scale 0-10). A new button is provided in the Video Info dialog for this. You can also map input device keys to do this. The current user star rating is shown in the video and full screen video dialogs, and in several video viewmodes. (Note, in Jarvis you can't filter or create smart playlist from user star rating, but it is coming in Krypton.)
Changes in how Jarvis handles music visualization add-ons forced a change in how the music OSD works. Suggestions welcome.
Aside from Jarvis changes I made some tweaks in label and image positions based on user requests and my observations. Also, I have made some changes to the "rightlist" viewmode when used to display the now-playing music or video playlists. I believe these changes make this viewmode more useful especially when playing music or music video in party mode.
