I have looked in this thread as well as on the internet. I understand genre icons must be implemented in the skin. I am using transparency. I have read on this forum that there are genre icons stored in a textures file. I can't find these genre icons after extracting all the files from the transparency texture.
Here is what my icons currently look like for genre:

Additionally, I have installed several different movie icon packs but they don't change. I have tried Xzener's Reflected Icons (for genre), the colored genre pack, etc. No matter what I choose, the genre icons remain the same. It is not a "global" problem because I tried the Aeon skin and those genre icons were different.
Where does the Transparency skin get the genre icons (if not from the textures files)?
