Hi all,
I've an Andriod player (MINIX NEO X8) with XBMC Kodi.
The video-add ons and streaminglinks are working fine.

Situation:
I've connected an external harddisk to my Minix and if I go to Video-add ons (../external harddisk/) I see files like; .VOB, .AVI,but the .MKV files do not display in the list. What is needed to see the MKV files and to play it?

If I start the VLC player I also do not see the MKV files (all other files I see in the list).

If I connect my external harddisk on my laptop I see all files and can play the mkv files.

Do someone's know how to fix this, because I've tried :
- new kodi installation (delete the old and installed the new version by google play store)
- VLC (the player as well the codec)

Searching around here, I've noticed several people saying they aren't seeing .mkv on your same build. However, I've read of people using it on Google without issues.

I've not used Minix. You MAY want to check the Minix forum as well, while waiting for a response here. I mean...expand your options.

Add a folder with a few of the .mkv files as a source, and perhaps post a debug log would help to better determine if / how Kodi is recognizing the files?
