Custom home menu - video folder or node not really behaving as expected
#1
Hi All,

I have recently moved from Kodi 14 (my old HTPC couldn't support higher) to Kodi 17. I always used Confluence Mod and I now installed Xonfluence. I'm trying to setup my custom home menu as before, but it does not behave as expected. I have my movies organised in various folders: movies, kids, classics. Now I want these to show up on my home menu (instead of one big bucket containing folders). This is possible by selecting a menu item in skin configurator and configuring it as "Videos menu" -->"Videos - Folder" --> point to source. However, now there are a few issues:
1) when the movie was in a subfolder (\movie\movie A\movies A\movie A.mkv) the poster and fanart will not be displayed.
2) when browsing, I really have to select the movie file (.mkv or .mp4) to make it play. It won't play immediately when selecting the poster.

How do I set this up correctly?

Further, in Kodi Helix the Confluence skin with "Fanart" listing (or view) would show poster, fanart and an overlay with movie information on the main screen. Is there no proper view anymore to get this? Either I see posters and fanart without any info, or a (less graphical) media list with some info.

Best
