Error: Invalid argument on WiFi HDD
#1
I have very annoying problem for some time. I thought its everything else except KODI but now since I debugged everything, it looks like it was KODI.

I have WD My Passport wireless. On it I have public shared folder. I added shortcut like this: smb://MyPassport/Public/ but the problem is that sometimes works, and sometimes not. Especially when I restart Raspi (KODI). Then I get the Invalid argument error.
I can confirm that the drive is visible overt its app MyCloud on iOS and also over laptop so its not the drive.

What might be the problem. I have static IP for the drive but I dont think that is different than my path already in. I have MikroTik router.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I'm guessing that it might be a SMBv1 problem, as Kodi defaults to SMBv2 nowadays.

Can I revert it to SMBv1?

If it works at some time and sometimes not, I don´t think it´s a SMB-issue. If it would be a SMB issue, it wouldn´t work at all.

Which OS are you using for your RPi? If you are using LibreELEC, you could try to enable "wait for network" and see if that fixes something.

Regarding "enabling SMB1"....you shouldn´t. SMB1 is vulnerable and also was disabled on different OSs by default. Windows did that per update, LibreELEC doesn´t use SMB1 by default anymore and so on. So using SMB1 should only be your last resort if nothing else works. But as said, I don´t think it´s that issue.

Yes, its LibreELEC. I set minimum support to SMBv1 and it work ok for now. Ill see how it behave in the next days. Till now the error occurred multiple times per day.
