Hey, can anyone tell me if the same skins used for the XBOX version of XBMC can be applied for use on this version? I tried to copy them over in file manager and it did not work at all.

Skins are universal, yes.
Some are very out of date though, so if you have an old xbox build and an old skin it may not work on newer xbox builds or newer builds on other platforms.

they should be compatible just drop the skin folder into C:\Program Files\XBMC\skin using windows explorer. I don't Know if the built in file manager works on windows
