Having to use Vista 64bit, not able to build.
#1
Hey, upgraded my system, and also will be using Vista 64bit (had dual boot, but ALWAYS used XP x64 Pro), but can't seem to build XBMC SDL for either VS2003 NOR VS2008 now. Was building fine when using x64, and noticed the one that helped do the XBMC PC WIKI instructions said they used a Vista 64bit machine, so that gave me the impression that it SHOULD compile on a Vista 64bit setup. Thats of course an assumption, but a logical one.
(I Still have my XBMC_Library directory and both VS's properly pointed to that directory, lib and Includes, but also tried newer included changes in the SVN, with the "d:\xbmc\PC\xbmc\lib\libSDL-WIN32\include" and "\lib")
SVN is correct and updated beforehand, includes and lib folders setup in both VS2008 and VS2003, DX 9.0c SDK (2004) installed.

Here's a pastebin of a VS2008 ++ Compile attempt.

Here's a pastebin of a VS2003 compile attempt.

Thanks for any responded help Smile

PS- My Xbox builds are building fine.
PS2- PC build using "(2) PC Build" option, with the Xbox SVN directory method, is building fine.

This has nothing to do with Vista afaik. You could either revert rev 14617 which has some non win32 compliant changes or try changing stat64 to _stat64 in emu_msvcrt.cpp line 1441/1450 and emu_msvcrt.h line 118.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.

Should be fixed in rev 14624.

Cheers,
Jonathan

Thanks, that svn update fixed it. You always amaze me how FAST you guys are with fixing things, and always a good eye for paying attention to the forums, and eager to keep things in line and in working condition in such a AFAP manner.

Glad to know it won an award, my vote definitely did some good this year Smile BIG THANKS as always for the support and speedy help.
