All channels look worse in kodi than in the web browser. You can order better quality but it seems that it is not used in Kodi.

There are lots of channels avalable in the filmon web interface. Not all of them work in Kodi. Why is that..?

I would imagine that the addon was written before the higher qualities were an option and it was never updated.

On the channels it may be that some channels are not allowed to be viewed remotely. I’m not sure as I’ve never run the addon.

There is an option for higher quality but it does not seem to make any difference.
When I switch on HQ in the Kodi Filmon PVR I am pretty certain that I still run SD not HQ which I actually pay for.
Reading the API shows that probably the low and high quality they speak of is 240P and 480P which really nowadays is poor.
That is really disappointing.
The API is pretty well documented but I am no experienced programmer.

I will see if I can find something better, do anyone have any suggestions?

It is a pity since the channels are just the ones you need.

If you can provide links to the relevant API docs I can take a look. Maybe it is something simple.

It should fix the prefer HD setting and I've added logging to confirm if the logic is still correct there and also to try and find the missing channels. Please upload a full DEBUG log after running so I can debug it further and clean up/finalise the PR. It may even crash when starting up. Hard to tell what will happen as I don't have a backend to test this on.

EDIT: so the missing channels is something else I think. I've changed the testbuild to only include the prefer HD fix. Please test that first and post a full debug log. Once that is working I'll post a new testbuild which may fix the missing channels issue.

I think it fixed the HD setting.
It did crash once but that happens sometimes anyway (and we are running pre-alpha) when you run Filmon.

I started three channels.
The second one is The Box. One of the channels I can look at at the website but it does not work in Kodi.

By default all channels should be retrieved. If you want to switch back to favourites there is an addon setting for that now.

For some reason it did not start,
or rather it found one channel and did nothing more....
No message in Kodi , no channel in Kodi.

I restarted and went into PVR Filmon settings and changed to only go for Favourtes then I got:
