I pulled the master branch of Kodi a few days ago to build with the latest alpha code, for Matrix PVR development.  My PVR supplies a MPEG stream to Kodi, with audio, video and subtitles.  I cannot get the subtitles to display.  They are enabled in the options, unless I'm missing something.  This is for both Windows and Linux.

The master branch as of March properly displays the subtitles.

Any clue what's up here?  Are there logs that would help?  Of course I am not sure whether the problem is in Kodi or in ffmpeg itself.

The problem was me.

I had forgotten that I need to set "Enable parsing for closed captions" in Settings/Player/Language.  I blew away my settings and didn't remember to set that one.
