Updating the path within kodi lirbrary
#1
Hi
Just had a HDD fail with a good chunk of my media on it (Yes I had a back up)
Rather than replacing this drive in my PC I'm going to build a NAS with built in redundancy
And move my kodi library onto that

On the PC I have a recent back up of my Kodi library

I might make a new one without the settings

Rather than scanning the whole library again
Once I know what new path to the new folder
I was thinking I could replace the old path in the kodi database then restore the kodi library

Opening MyVideosXXX.db in an SQLite editor there is a path table and a strPath column

Is there anything else needs updating?

Thanx

Honestly, I wouldn't do that. It is a whole lot easier to export what remains of your library to Separate Files and create nfo files. Then you simply scan these back into the library. No fiddling with databases and paths.

For the media you lost on the drive, you will need to re-scrape them back into the library.
