I've been for some time trying to figure out how to change the default viewtype in Estuary, specifically so that addons (in my case iplayer-www and svt) pick up on the change. As it stands I can change the viewtype but it only applies to the current directory/page. If I enter a new subdirectory it falls back to the default. The only thing that seems to work is that it does remember my per-directory setting.
During my searching I've seen other ask this question but with no clear or conclusive answer. In the iplayer-www forum it was strongly implied this was a skin issue.
I've tried making a copy of the default skin addon directory, reordering the viewtype numbers in the <views> tag in MyVideoNav.xml and then enabling my modded skin, but no joy.
So any assistance to bring this quest to an end would be much appreciated.
