I have been adviced to select the option adjust display refresh rate to improve the quality of my videos.
When I start a movie after selecting this option, the screen goes black for a while and then the movie appears. I have been noticing a big decrease in quality after that. There is a lot of graining / digital noise in the images.
Also, when I press back and navigate the menus the graining is also present in movie posters.
When the option is not enabled, the screen doesn't go black after starting a movie and the graining is not present.
I am using an NVIDIA Shield TV (not the newest 2019 model but older).
Is anyone familiar with this and knows how to solve it?
(Buying the newest NVIDIA shield might be a solution but I wonder if it's worth it.)
