Full screen on monitor?
#1
i am trying to output osxbmc onto my TV which is connected to my imac via DVI>HDMI cable.

if i select "mirror displays" on apple, then "1680x1050 (fullscreen)" on xbmc it will show fullscreen on both screens.

but what if i DONT want mirrored mode? i dont see any other full screen choices except the first one, which causes problems on both displays if selected in this mode.

also...if my TV is capable of handling 1080i, how can i select that mode for screen size, and still make it fullscreen? when i select it, it just goes to windowed mode.

when not in mirror mode, you can select which display you want Kodi to be on in Kodi settings. Or switch Kodi to window mode, move the window to another screen and switch back to fullscreen.

as for 1080i issue, better attach debug log.

system settings
display
built in: main display
name of other monitor: extended display

now you have 2 desktops

in kodi you'll need to tell it in system to use that other named screen.  possibly some fighting the OS between windowed and fullscreen mode and dragging to the extended display.  From kodi in the dock, right click, options: pick the desktop you expect it to spawn into next time.
