Win Kodi fills up available space on TV memory
#1
Hello folks. Can someone help me figure this one out. Since i have installed Kodi on my C2 i have noticed that app started to slow down and lag ocasionally. It took about couple days before it started happening. Also my other streaming app started lagging to, probably beacuse of insufficient space that i dicovered randomly. All i have installed is developer mode, stremio and youtube app that i don't use, and kodi ofcourse. Image attached bellow. With what has Kodi filled my tv memory and where are those files? And why this happened?

Hello from me again. After checking with other kodi users on reddit i got a solution for this.

Apparently kodi is creating .core files on tv, clogging available memory in process. I had 5 .core files all around 300-500MB in size. After i deleted them everything works perfectly now, kodi and other streaming apps.

Don't know if links are allowed here so i will suggest people to google "protomove core remove kodi". It's on github.

You mean storage , not memory.

Thumbs Up
I just want to say thanks for the tip. The same thing happened with my storage on my LG G2 OLED TV and this little Kodi addon solved it immediately. I suddenly had only 0.07 GB / 2.69 GB free. Now 2.00 GB / 2.69 GB are available again. The Kodi experience on WebOS is now almost perfect and worry-free.

Hello comunity. Newbie here to Kodi on LG TV WebOS. Using "Stream Cinema CZ a SK" addon and after several days it stopped to work. After troubleshooting I had very same issue which other users report (dump files consume LG TV memory to the max). Installed addon https://github.com/Protomove/Core-remove-kodi and Kodi is working 100% now! Love you people. Wanted to let you know other are reading your advices and are very helpful!

Also for my addon to work, only 21.00 version can be used which is available inside "webOS Dev Manager", any other newer version/nightly would not work at all.
