Removing channels from a custom created channel group
#1
I created a new custom channel group called 'Favourites' using the Group Manager feature and assigned some channels to that group with no problem.
I then decided I wanted to remove 3 channels from this group, but couldn't find an option to remove a channel anywhere. Initially, I had thought this could be done by highlighting the channel and pressing OK on my remote, which did remove the channel from the group, but when exited the group manager and then re-entered, the channel I thought I had removed was back again.

In the end I solved the problem by deleting this custom group completely, then re-creating it again (minus the channels I didn't want), but I was wanting to know if there was a much simpler way to remove channels from a custom group that I've somehow missed?

I had similar problems and group manager behavior for a long time. It turned out that the SQLite files in 'Android\data\org.xbmc.kodi\files\.kodi\userdata\Database' were corrupted.

Ok cool, thanks for the confirmation. I'll give it another go at some point.

Actually, speaking of the group I created (Favourites), the thought did cross my mind as I was doing this via the Group Manager how handy it might have been to favourite a channel directly from the EPG or TV channels window via the context menu, ie the associated channel on the focused EPG or TV channels row gets added to a favourite group and the channel name/number also gets some kind of icon next to it to represent that it is a favourited channel. I know a lot of set top boxes already offer this kind of option.

Guess you would have to account for any favourite group that already exists from a backend. Would imagine such a thing would be quite useful for many users, especially those who have IPTV subscriptions which often have hundreds of channels......Oh, I can feel the makings of a good feature request coming on here!  Wink
