Lost movies

I have about 75 movies in my xbmc library and am running build 21238 on XP. When I update my library, I actually lose two movies (spiderman 3 and die hard). I can see the movies in the file view (spiderman3.mpg), but not in the normal library. The only way I have found to get them back into the library, is to drop back to version 9.04, run a scan, and then upgrade again. Is there any way to stop this?

They're probably being stacked.

yea I just realized that, and they are. I saw that I could solve it through advancedsettings.xml in /userdata, and I put this in it:

Code:
<advancedsettings>
  <moviestacking>
  </moviestacking>
</advancedsettings>

I figured I didn't want any possibility of stacking. However, I still get the same problem after erasing and re-adding the library...

As time goes by you will find your "one pile file" method of storing movies less and less useful for XBMC.

One movie per folder and lots of options open up to you.

You have your advancedsettings.xml in the wrong dir. It needs to be in special://userdata. Search the wiki for "special protocol" for just where that is on your platform.
