I have just updated to Rev21802 to get the new live play back functionality for the Iplayer but all the streams including the live ones start in the back ground. The result is the same with the Tvcatchup plugin so I don't think its an Iplayer problem.

Do you mean that they play but you have to press 'tab' (or your remote's equivalent) to get them to focus?

If so that is a separate bug, I had a workaround for the Hulu player but I can't remember off the top of my head.
Ideally the bug would be reported & fixed
I'm not in UK so it would be hard for me to test to see what causes it & therefore I won't fill out a trac report with zero information... but if I remember correctly it happens either when using xbmc.Player.play or when starting from the listitem directly, and only happened with rtmp streams. Do you think you could investigate a little more?
I can give you more directions later tonight on IRC if you need help.

yes it is as if I had had pressed play and x on gamepad (tab) simultaneously. The audio fine but there is no preview of the video that is playing. pressing x again shows this



the the thumb is only shown on bbc catch up streams, it seem like problem of displaying the video

why move this problem is xbox only playback off the same streams on win32 @rev21773 works as expected

it seems this is a problem with dvdPlayer on xbox. I tried play using dvdPlayer on some avi's and the symptoms were the same
