Yeah i would love to be able to disable this bar too. Maybe make it autohide like the options bar can be set to do.

i agree. Either, get rid of it and leave the clock... Or make it smaller, black & transparent. it pointless and takes up a lot of space and also takes away from the rest of the skin. Like i said in my suggestion, it's the only thing stopping me from making this my default skin. :-D

I actually like this bar, but it's a bit bright for my tastes. I think it might look great as a softer gray or maybe even a dark blue.

It would look much better dark. But it serves no purpose, all it does is house path/location you're browsing in... We don't need to know that lol. Clock, weather, eject, power... all good features, but they can stand alone.
If the title bar replicated that of transparency or something similar then it would suit the overall style much much better.
but of course, it's just an opinion.

The top bar is integral to the design, its not changing. There will always be those who prefer a certain style and thats fine, thats why theres a variety of skins to choose from. Saying such and such feature is useless doesn't make it so, it's just coming from someone with differen't tastes. In the end you can't make a skin fit everyone needs otherwise it would be a mess from a design point of view. You can however be receptive to ideas that complement and refine what you've already designed. Thats why I didn't ask for opinions when I first started this skin, because its coming from my experience and what I thought was a good media center interface.

The config menu bar hides itself behind the top bar, if I made it transparent when it moves up you will be able to see it behind the top bar.
