I am wondering which will I use to replace my xbox?

I know the second laptop is better but would it be better to use it as a laptop or will it make much difference running xbmc?

I dont mind running ubuntu or windows.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

what are you exactly planning to do with it? HD playback might be problematic on both configurations
