i just came across this script that downloads lyrics from mp3's (id-tags) and views it. it is made for karamba (linux / kde) but i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be that much of an operation to port it to xbmc python. just strip out the karamba lib's dependencies and change them to the xbmc libs and we have a go.

it can fetch data from 2 online db's (lyrc.com.ar / sing365.com)

i've been using this script with 3 different players in linux and all i can say is that i'm impressed. it has alot of lyrics and i've never experienced any bugs. would be a nice feature to xbmc.

forgot to mention that this has nothing to do with karaoke whatsoever - it just allows you to view the lyrics of the songs you are listening to.

good idea i think but so many project in mind....
keep searching. it has his own place inside xbmc !
