I am by no means an expert in video encoding, but I would like to know what formats are supported by XBMC on an Apple TV 2. I believe that hardware decoding only works for h264, so what happens with a 720p XviD or WMV? And can it handle standard definition DivX?

I would appreciate any experiences with this. I am interested in solid setups. Say, a wired connection to a SMB share without additional software cluttering the ATV, for example.
