a dev guy told me this was possible in relax a while ago in here. what is the trick? how do i get my images to play?

just play them.. you don't need any speacial setup at all. use samba, as that is imo the best protocal at the moment.
relax can parse them, but there isn't any point.. atleast not when it comes to svcd's and vcd's.

don't think xbmc libcdio supports iso, but only img & bin cd-images ...i could be wrong but that what i heard last

well, i borwse to the file with relax, as that is all i can get working, and it hangs instead of playing the bin file. do i need to play the cue file?

i think you need to turn off relax's iso/bin processing. relax treats a disc image as a virtual directory. then, when you select an image, it will stream it to xmbc and not process it.
