DVD Playback using xboxdash.xbe
#1
using 2004-01-15 cvs.

i have dvd autolaunch enabled in the settings but if i put a dvd movie into the drive xbmc tries to launch it (screen goes blank for a second) but then drops back to the xbmc screen.

if i manually start the xboshdash then it works fine.

any ideas what is happenning.

i bet you have a samsung drive.

xbmc does not start a seperate app for vieuwing dvd.
it will try to play it itself.
this works on philips and thomson (though long inititial load time) but not yet on samsung drives.
the devs are working on it and hope it will work for samsung soon to.

so for now you need to manually start the program.

you get 100 points mario64... i do have a samsung. glad to know its a known issue.

it would be good to be able to configure whether xbmc should use xboxdash as the dvd player or use the internal code.
