hey all, new to xbmc, not modding...
so, i have just decided to start using kai on my xbox. so far, i have got my xbox connected to my network using the xbox wifi adapted mn-740. i am using avalaunch, latest version as of feb 1, the same goes for xbmc. now, the only way i can get rss to work is by using dhcp, which is fine and dandy. the whole problem is with and without dhcp, i cannot get xbmckai to connect, i always get the message telling me to retry.
using a tutorial in pdf, i am told to set up the kai engine etc. the tutorial says that if i am behind a router, i should forward port 30000tdp. so.. i did that both for my pc ip and my xbox ip. still no luck.. then i realised i never set the kai engine wifi part. within the wifi button, there are two mac addresses. one is the real mac, the other is the virtual. i set the real one to the one ipconfig/all uses(so the pc i am on right now). i set the virtual one to the mac that xbmc tells me(xbox's mac). still no joy... next i tried using the same real mac and the mac that the mn-740 has written on the back of it, still no joy...
to be honest, i have absolutely no clue what is going on now, or why it is not working. thank you all for making a cool product, and i cant wait to see it in action, and thank you all for reading through this drawn out post. thanks for any answers!
